Thunderbolt 4 confirmed on AMD
Unusually for an AMD laptop, HP's QuickSpecs certify two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the ZBook 8 (AMD). Note that Intel vPro is not offered - these models use AMD Ryzen PRO manageability instead.

📦 Ships with an HP Slim USB-C power adapter and a 1-year (1/1/0) limited warranty; an HP Wolf Pro Security Edition licence is included.

Common questions

Does the HP ZBook 8 (AMD) have Thunderbolt 4?

Yes. HP's own QuickSpecs and datasheet list two Thunderbolt 4 ports (USB-C 40Gbps, DisplayPort 2.1) on the AMD ZBook 8, alongside a second USB-C 10Gbps port, a USB-A port and HDMI 2.1. It is one of the AMD platforms HP has certified for Thunderbolt 4.

Is it a Copilot+ PC?

Yes. The Ryzen AI PRO configurations include an AMD Ryzen AI NPU rated up to 55 TOPS, which meets Microsoft's 40+ TOPS requirement for Copilot+ PC experiences on Windows 11.

Does it support Intel vPro?

No. vPro is Intel-only. The ZBook 8 (AMD) uses AMD Ryzen PRO, which provides its own business-class manageability and security features. If you specifically need vPro, cross-shop the Intel HP ZBook 8 G1i.

What's the difference between the G1a and G2a versions?

Both are 14in AMD ZBook 8 workstations. The G2a is the newer generation with AMD Ryzen AI 400-series PRO CPUs and PCIe Gen5 storage; the G1a uses the Ryzen AI 300-series PRO. Servnet can supply either configuration.

What warranty is included and can it be extended?

A 1-year (1/1/0) limited warranty is standard. Servnet can quote multi-year and on-site next-business-day care-pack uplifts, plus HP Wolf Pro Security renewals, for UK fleet rollouts.
