The Juniper EX2300 is Juniper's compact access-layer switch designed for branch offices, small campuses, and distributed enterprise deployments where simplicity, low TCO, and cloud management are key priorities. Available in 24-port and 48-port variants with or without PoE+, as well as multigigabit models supporting 2.5GbE on select ports, the EX2300 covers the full range of access-layer requirements from basic IP phone connectivity through to high-density Wi-Fi 6E and IoT device support.
Cloud management via Juniper Mist Wired Assurance transforms EX2300 deployment and operations. Zero-touch provisioning means switches can be shipped directly to a remote site — an on-site technician plugs them in, and Mist automatically applies the correct configuration from a site template. Dynamic port profiles detect connected devices and automatically assign the correct VLAN, PoE policy, and QoS settings. AI-driven SLE dashboards provide per-client visibility into wired experience — measured at the switch port level — enabling proactive issue detection before users call the help desk.
Virtual Chassis technology allows up to four EX2300 switches to operate as a single logical device with one management plane, one IP address, and a unified configuration. This simplifies campus wiring closet management, reduces management overhead, and provides resilience through inter-chassis link aggregation. The EX2300 runs the same Junos OS as QFX data-centre switches and SRX firewalls, giving network teams a consistent CLI and automation interface across the entire Juniper estate.
