The Juniper SRX1600 is the next generation of Juniper's mid-range Services Gateway, delivering 24 Gbps firewall throughput (1518B), 4 × 10GE SFP+ and 2 × 25GE SFP28 ports, and 2 million sessions in a 1U form factor. It introduces EVPN-VXLAN Type 5 support, enabling the SRX1600 to function as a secure leaf in data-centre spine-leaf fabrics — the first SRX to natively integrate into the data-centre switching fabric without decapsulation.
The SRX1600 continues Juniper's tradition of running the same Junos OS across all platforms — providing full feature consistency, CLI familiarity, and seamless integration with Juniper Security Director for centralised policy management.
