About the Juniper SRX1500
The Juniper SRX1500 Services Gateway is the entry point into Juniper's mid-range firewall portfolio — bridging the gap between the branch SRX300 series and the enterprise SRX4000 series. At 10 Gbps firewall throughput, 4 × 10GE SFP+ ports, and 2 million concurrent sessions, the SRX1500 handles the internet edge, campus core, and VPN headend functions for mid-sized enterprises.
The SRX1500 supports Juniper's full suite of security services: IPS (3 Gbps), AppSecure application identification and control, UTM (antivirus, anti-spam, web filtering), SSL proxy inspection, and User Firewall for identity-based access control. It runs the same Junos OS as all other SRX platforms, with centralised management via Juniper Security Director.
