Corrections, re-measurement and takedown policy

Servnet Research publishes dated observations drawn from public sources: official statistics, public registers, published notices, manufacturers’ documents and public DNS records. Every study states its sources, method, measurement dates and limits, and the licence of its data. We want every figure to be right, and we correct errors promptly.

Report an error or ask for a re-measurement

E-mail webmaster@servnetuk.com with the study’s web address, the figure, row or sentence concerned, and any evidence (for example, the correct email domain for your organisation, or a record that has changed). We aim to acknowledge requests within two working days.

What happens next

• We check the point against the original source or re-measure it.
• If it is wrong, we correct the page and the downloadable data, and record the change, with its date, in the log below and on the study where relevant.
• Where a request concerns a named organisation and cannot be verified quickly, we may withhold that item while we check.
• Where a measurement has changed since the study date (for example, a DNS record updated after publication), we can add the new measurement with its date alongside the original, so readers can see both.

Personal data

Our studies are designed not to publish personal data: named individuals’ contact details are removed, and small counts that could identify organisations or people are suppressed where a study says so. If you find personal data in a study or dataset, tell us and we will remove it as a priority.

Copyright, database rights and licences

We reuse data under the licences stated on each study (for example, the Open Government Licence) and cite third-party figures as single facts with attribution. If you believe material has been used outside its licence, tell us which item and why; we will review it and remove it while we do so where that is appropriate.

Not advice

Studies are published for information only. They are not legal, security, financial or investment advice, and describe what the sources showed on the dates stated. Data are provided as they are, without warranty; please check the original sources before relying on any figure for a decision. Each study lists its own caveats.

Changes made after publication

• 19 September 2026 · FTSE 350 email security 2026: Companies whose email domain could not be confirmed to a high standard are still counted in the totals but are no longer named in the lookup or the downloadable data.
• 19 September 2026 · UK public sector email security census 2026: Clarified that 24 NHS bodies without a DMARC record of their own are covered by their parent domain’s policy (nhs.wales, hscni.net, scot.nhs.uk), and that one NHS domain publishes two DMARC records (which makes the record invalid) rather than none. Headline percentages are unchanged. The downloadable JSON no longer includes internal working notes used to identify each body’s email domain.
