Its key differentiator from the 24-port C1000-24T is the combination of higher port density and 10G SFP+ uplinks, making it appropriate for larger SMB environments or branch offices with future 10G distribution switching.
Running Cisco IOS, the C1000-48T-4X-L supports the standard Catalyst managed switch feature set: 802.1Q VLANs, QoS marking and queuing, port security, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, and 802.1X port-based authentication with RADIUS. Its 104 Gbps switching capacity provides ample headroom for high-density access deployments.
The fanless design (non-PoE model) ensures silent operation — suitable for offices and spaces where noise is a concern.
