The FortiGate 4200F is Fortinet's most powerful fixed-form-factor NGFW, delivering 800 Gbps firewall throughput, 52 Gbps IPS, and 45 Gbps threat protection in a 2U chassis with 8 × 100GE QSFP28 and 18 × 25GE SFP28 ports. It is purpose-engineered for hyperscale data centres, global carriers, and the very largest enterprise networks.
With 210,000,000 concurrent sessions (expandable to 450M in HyperScale mode) and 1,000,000 new sessions per second, the FG-4200F handles the most extreme traffic volumes while maintaining full threat inspection. The FG-4400F and FG-4800F variants offer additional throughput and port density for even larger deployments.
Running FortiOS — the same operating system as every other FortiGate — the 4200F series supports the full Fortinet Security Fabric including FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSIEM, and FortiSOAR.
