About the HPE Alletra 6010
The HPE Alletra 6010 is the entry-level model in the Alletra 6000 cloud-native NVMe all-flash product family — the direct successor to the HPE Nimble Storage All Flash Arrays (AF series). Built on the same proven Nimble OS architecture with NVMe storage media, the Alletra 6000 series delivers up to 3× the performance of the Nimble AF generation while retaining the simplicity, data services, and resiliency that made Nimble the most widely deployed all-flash platform in SMB and mid-market environments.
The 6010 provides 23–92 TB of raw capacity across 24 NVMe SSD bays in a 4U chassis, delivering 60–330 TB of effective capacity with a 5:1 data reduction ratio (deduplication and compression). Redundant controllers share 64 GB of NVDIMM-backed memory each, ensuring consistent performance and fast restart after any power interruption.
Triple+ Parity RAID is standard on all Alletra 6000 models. This provides tolerance for three simultaneous drive failures — exceeding the protection level of RAID 6 — combined with intra-drive parity for additional resilience against partial drive failures. All data services, including snapshots, replication, deduplication, compression, and encryption, operate without performance impact.
HPE InfoSight predictive analytics runs continuously in the background, analysing telemetry data from the global Nimble and Alletra installed base to predict and resolve 86% of support issues before customers notice them. The platform integrates directly with VMware vCenter, Microsoft VSS, and leading backup solutions including Veeam, providing transparent storage management for virtualised environments.
