8 GE RJ45 ports plus 2 combo RJ45/SFP ports provide connectivity for multiple WAN links (ports 1 and 2 default as internet-facing) and LAN segments. The SFP combo ports support both copper and fibre uplinks, enabling the ION 3200 to connect directly to fibre WAN handoffs without a separate media converter.
The ION 3200's PoE support (90W total, up to 60W per port with a mix of 802.3af/at/bt standards) eliminates the need for separate PoE switches in small-medium branch deployments.
