Expert Analysis

Specs web-verified from manufacturer datasheets · Servnet-reviewed · Last reviewed 26 Jul 2026

The Dell Pro Premium 13 outshines the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 AMD on several objective fronts, including a brighter and higher-resolution display, significantly lighter chassis, and a larger battery. These advantages make it the ideal choice for UK business professionals prioritising portability and screen quality. However, the Lenovo counters with its own merits: a wider port selection featuring dual USB-A and HDMI 2.1, optional 4G LTE WWAN for always-on connectivity, and AMD Ryzen PRO processing, which may appeal to organisations with existing AMD infrastructure or specific software optimisations. While the Dell integrates Intel vPro Enterprise manageability for seamless IT administration, the Lenovo relies on AMD DASH, which is equally capable but less ubiquitous. Despite the Lenovo’s competitive memory and storage ceilings, the Dell’s faster LPDDR5x RAM and standard 5G with eSIM provide future-proofing. For UK buyers, the Dell Pro Premium 13 is the premium, forward-looking selection, while the ThinkPad X13 remains a dependable, cost-conscious alternative with legacy-friendly connectivity.
