The Dell PowerStore 3200T Gen2 is the mid-range workhorse of the PowerStore portfolio. With quad-processor Intel Xeon architecture (64 cores, 768 GB memory), it scales to 10,000 volumes and 200,000 snapshots — representing a significant step up from the 500T for organisations running large virtualised server fleets, multi-tenant environments, or mixed database and file workloads.
Like all PowerStore appliances, the 3200T ships with unified block and file capabilities built into the base price. NFS and SMB file services run natively on the array controllers, eliminating the need for a separate NAS gateway or file server infrastructure. FC, iSCSI, and NVMe-oF are all supported simultaneously for maximum host-connectivity flexibility.
Dell's PowerStoreOS 3.0 release introduced enhanced ransomware detection (Cyber Recovery vault integration), improved AI-driven workload placement, and support for larger NVMe SSD capacities. The 3200T is part of this generation.
