About the HPE Alletra 9060
The HPE Alletra 9060 is the entry model in HPE's mission-critical all-flash product family, built on the architecture foundation of HPE Primera. It is purpose-designed for enterprise workloads that demand extreme performance consistency, ultra-low latency, and guaranteed availability — including Oracle databases, SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server, and VMware virtual infrastructure.
Performance is delivered through an All-NVMe architecture with massively parallel, multi-node processing. In HPE's own testing, the Alletra 9000 achieves over 2 million IOPS in a 4U chassis with TPVV and RAID 6 configuration, using 8KiB random read operations. Latency is equally impressive: 75% of all read/write I/O completes within 250 microseconds, delivering the consistency mission-critical applications require.
The Alletra 9060 ships with 1024 GiB of cache memory and supports configuration as a 2-node or 4-node system. All controller nodes are active simultaneously — there are no passive standby nodes wasting capacity. The system scales to 144 drives using four HPE Alletra 2240 drive enclosures, reaching 1966 TiB raw and 6103 TiB effective capacity with a 4:1 data compaction ratio.
HPE's Active Peer Persistence feature provides synchronous replication between Alletra 9060 arrays at geographically separated sites — delivering RPO zero (no data loss) and RTO zero (transparent failover with no application disruption). This makes the Alletra 9060 suitable for the most demanding business continuity requirements without sacrificing performance.
