Purple, Orange, Yellow and larger memory or storage to order.

Common questions

iMac or Mac mini plus a monitor?

iMac wins on tidiness and usually on cost: a Mac mini with an Apple Studio Display costs considerably more than an iMac, and a mini with a third-party 4K display gives up the 218 ppi panel, the 12MP camera, and the six-speaker array. Pick the Mac mini route when you need M4 Pro compute, want to keep an existing monitor estate, or want the display to outlive the computer.

8-core or 10-core M4?

The 10-core tier is about more than the extra cores: it adds two more Thunderbolt 4 ports (4 vs 2), Gigabit Ethernet in the power adapter, a Touch ID keyboard as standard, and unlocks 24 GB+ memory, 2 TB storage and the nano-texture display. For general admin and front-of-house the 8-core base is fine; for anyone's daily workstation, default to 10-core.

Why is the iMac still M4 when MacBooks are M5?

Apple refreshes its desktops on a slower cadence than MacBooks. The iMac was refreshed to M4 in October 2024 and remains Apple's current generation in mid-2026, alongside the M4 Mac mini. The M4 is very capable for the iMac's target workloads; if your rollout can wait, an M5 refresh is expected on Apple's usual pattern, but nothing is announced.

Can memory be upgraded later?

No — unified memory is part of the M4 package and fixed at order time. 16 GB is the floor and comfortable for office work; choose 24 GB or 32 GB at order for design, development, or heavy multitasking roles. Storage is likewise fixed, so size for the machine's full 3-5 year life.
