Where most thin-and-lights solder the RAM, the P1 Gen 7 keeps memory on a swappable LPCAMM2 module and storage across two M.2 2280 slots — so a 32 GB / 1 TB machine can become 64 GB with a second SSD mid-life. Add a discrete RTX 4060, a colour-calibrated WQXGA panel and vPro manageability and it earns a longer refresh cycle. We quote single units and fleets with volume breaks.

Is the memory soldered, or can it be upgraded?

It is upgradeable. Unlike thin workstations that solder low-power memory, the P1 Gen 7 uses a single LPCAMM2 module — the stocked build has 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 (running at 7467 MT/s on this platform) and can be lifted to 64 GB (1× 64 GB LPCAMM2) as a straightforward module swap. That is the machine's standout serviceability advantage over rivals in the class.

How many drives can it hold, and does it do RAID?

Two. There are two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 slots; the stocked configuration fills one with a 1 TB TCG Opal 2.0 SSD and leaves the second free. Add a data drive for up to 4 TB per slot, mirror to RAID 1 for resilience, or stripe to RAID 0 for scratch throughput — we fit and configure this before dispatch.

What display does the stocked 21KV0022UK ship with?

A 16.0" WQXGA (2560 × 1600) 16:10 IPS panel at 165 Hz and 500 nits, 100% sRGB, with X-Rite factory colour calibration and TÜV Low Blue Light — non-touch. Lenovo also offers a 3840 × 2400 OLED touch panel on other P1 Gen 7 builds, which we can quote to order; this SKU is the calibrated WQXGA screen.

Does it have Ethernet, and can it charge and dock over USB-C?

There is no onboard RJ-45 — a Lenovo USB-C to 2.5 GbE adapter covers wired networking. Both Thunderbolt 4 ports support DisplayPort 2.1 and USB-C docking, and the machine charges over Thunderbolt 4 from a 65 W+ USB-C source as well as from the bundled slim-tip adapter, driving up to four independent displays through a single dock.
