The chassis is unchanged in approach: carbon-fibre lid bonded to a magnesium-aluminium bottom. Lightest configurations come in under 1 kg, but rigidity passes MIL-STD-810H drop, vibration, dust, and altitude scenarios. The matte-black finish is consistent across the X1 line — the same look the Carbon has carried since 2012.
