Common questions
Intel or AMD — which T14 Gen 7 should we standardise on?
The Intel (21WN) builds run Intel Core Ultra with Intel vPro Enterprise manageability and a single LPCAMM2 memory module (to 64 GB); the Ultra 7 355 adds clock speed and a 49 TOPS NPU over the Ultra 5 325's 47. The AMD (21WV) build pairs Ryzen AI 5 PRO 440 with Radeon 840M, two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots (to 96 GB) and DASH manageability, and carries the highest NPU of the three at 50 TOPS. All three share the chassis, 512 GB SSD, display and keyboard, so a mixed estate images and docks identically.
Is the memory really upgradeable?
Yes — and it's the headline change this generation. The Intel builds use a replaceable LPCAMM2 module (not soldered LPDDR), upgradeable to 64 GB; the AMD build uses two standard DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots, to 96 GB. The SSD is a full-size M.2 2280 module in its own slot too. That makes the T14 Gen 7 far more serviceable than the soldered-memory ultrabooks it competes with — size at purchase, but keep the option to upgrade later.
Do all three qualify as Copilot+ PCs?
Yes. Copilot+ requires a 40+ TOPS NPU, at least 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The Ultra 7 355 (49 TOPS), Ultra 5 325 (47 TOPS) and Ryzen AI 5 PRO 440 (50 TOPS) all clear it, and every stocked build ships 16 GB / 512 GB with Windows 11 Pro. If your roadmap includes on-device Windows AI features, any of the three is eligible.
What display and connectivity options can you configure?
Stocked units carry the 14" WUXGA 400-nit anti-glare IPS panel and Wi-Fi 7. To order, Lenovo offers a 500-nit sRGB touch panel, a ThinkPad Privacy Guard screen, and a 2.8K OLED (2880 × 1800, 120 Hz VRR, Dolby Vision), plus 4G LTE or 5G Sub-6 WWAN with eSIM, a smart-card reader and a 75 Wh battery. Note the 21WN006YUK (Core Ultra 5) build already includes a smart-card reader as stocked. Ask Servnet to quote the to-order options with the fleet.
