Nutanix NX-3155-G9 is the ninth-generation 3000-series balanced HCI appliance — the most widely deployed form factor in the Nutanix NX portfolio. The 2U 1-node design provides a practical compute-to-storage ratio that suits the broadest range of enterprise workloads: standard server virtualisation consolidation, virtual desktop infrastructure, private cloud, and increasingly AI/ML inferencing with optional GPU cards.
Each NX-3155-G9 node ships pre-installed with Nutanix AOS and AHV — the platform is operational within minutes of racking. Three or more nodes form a cluster managed through Prism Central, with Nutanix's distributed storage fabric automatically providing redundancy, tiering, deduplication, and compression across all nodes. Unlike traditional three-tier infrastructure, there are no separate storage controllers, SAN switches, or storage management tools to configure and maintain.
The NX-3155-G9 can mix with other NX series models (including NX-8155A-G9 high-performance nodes) in the same cluster — allowing organisations to deploy a single NCP platform that serves both general workloads and high-performance applications. GPU support for NVIDIA A/L/H-series cards makes the platform capable of supporting GPU-accelerated VDI and AI inferencing alongside traditional VM workloads under unified Prism Central management.
