The HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus generation is HPE’s 2020–21 performance refresh of the Gen10 platform. The Intel DL360 and DL380 Gen10 Plus move to 3rd Generation Xeon Scalable “Ice Lake-SP”; the AMD DL325 and DL385 Gen10 Plus run EPYC 7002 “Rome” and (on the v2 boards) EPYC 7003 “Milan”. Across the board you gain DDR4-3200 memory, PCIe 4.0, OCP 3.0 networking and the NS204i NVMe boot device.
It is the value sweet spot for buyers who want near-current performance without paying Gen11/Gen12 prices: more cores, more memory bandwidth and faster NVMe than Gen10, with the same fully-current iLO 5 management and Silicon Root of Trust security — available re-certified at a fraction of new-server cost.
Below: the full model specifications, a side-by-side comparison with Gen10, what end-of-life means for Gen10 Plus, and a link to configure a tested, warranty-backed unit in our refurbished configurator.

Why HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus is a smart choice today
Near-current performance
Ice Lake Xeon or EPYC Rome/Milan, DDR4-3200 and PCIe 4.0 deliver materially more compute, memory bandwidth and I/O than Gen10 — close to a new server for many workloads.
PCIe 4.0 NVMe + NS204i boot
Doubled PCIe bandwidth and U.3 Tri-mode NVMe, plus the NS204i hardware-mirrored M.2 boot device — fast storage and a resilient OS boot out of the box.
Up to 8 TB memory · 128 cores
32 DIMM slots of DDR4-3200 and up to 128 cores on the dual-socket DL385 Gen10 Plus give serious virtualisation and database headroom.
iLO 5 + Silicon Root of Trust
The same current management and firmware-integrity security as new ProLiant — HTML5 console, virtual media, agentless health and cryptographic boot validation.
A fraction of Gen11/Gen12 cost
Refurbished Gen10 Plus delivers flagship-class performance for a fraction of new-server pricing — the best performance-per-pound in the re-certified market.
Ships from stock
Skip new-server lead times — re-certified Gen10 Plus is configured, tested and dispatched quickly, with a Servnet warranty as standard.
HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus vs Gen10
Gen10 Plus adds 3rd-Gen “Ice Lake” Xeon (or EPYC Rome/Milan), DDR4-3200 and PCIe 4.0 over the original Gen10 — choose it for higher performance and a longer remaining support runway; choose Gen10 for the lowest cost.
HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus lifecycle and end-of-life
ProLiant Gen10 Plus arrived in 2020 (AMD) and 2021 (Intel “Ice Lake”) and has reached HPE end of general sale now that the Gen11 line-up has taken over. Unlike Gen10, HPE has not yet published an End of Service Life (EOSL) date for the Gen10 Plus family — so it sits earlier in its support lifecycle with more runway remaining. Going by HPE’s Gen10 pattern, a reasonable estimate is EOSL somewhere around 2029–2031, but treat that as an estimate and confirm the current date for a specific model via your HPE account or a Servnet quote.
Because it is newer, Gen10 Plus gives you more remaining first-party support runway while still being available re-certified at a fraction of new-server cost — the sweet spot for PCIe 4.0, DDR4-3200 and Ice Lake / EPYC Rome-Milan performance without Gen11/Gen12 pricing. When first-party support eventually winds down, third-party maintenance and the deep refurbished parts pool extend service life further.
Servnet supplies, configures and supports Gen10 Plus across both paths: re-certified hardware built to spec in the refurbished configurator, plus TPM cover and spares to keep existing fleets running.

HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus — Frequently Asked Questions
What processors does the HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus support?
The Intel DL360 and DL380 Gen10 Plus use 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable “Ice Lake-SP” processors, up to 40 cores per socket. The AMD DL325 and DL385 Gen10 Plus use AMD EPYC 7002 “Rome” (and 1st-gen 7001), while the Gen10 Plus v2 boards add EPYC 7003 “Milan” — up to 64 cores per socket.
Is the HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus end of life?
Gen10 Plus has reached HPE end of sale (HPE now sells Gen11/Gen12), but HPE has not yet published an End of Service Life (EOSL) date for it — so it has more first-party support runway than Gen10. Based on HPE’s Gen10 timeline, EOSL is estimated around 2029–2031; confirm the current date for a specific model with HPE or Servnet. Third-party maintenance and refurbished supply extend service life further when first-party support ends.
HPE Gen10 Plus vs Gen10 — which should I buy?
Choose Gen10 Plus for higher performance (3rd-Gen Ice Lake or EPYC Rome/Milan, DDR4-3200, PCIe 4.0 NVMe) and a longer remaining support runway. Choose Gen10 for the lowest possible cost where its 1st/2nd-Gen Xeon or EPYC 7001 performance is sufficient. Both ship with iLO 5. See our Gen10 page for the full comparison.
How much memory does an HPE DL380 Gen10 Plus support?
The DL380 Gen10 Plus has 32 DIMM slots (16 per socket, 8 memory channels) and supports up to 8 TB of DDR4-3200 memory using 256 GB LRDIMMs.
Does the Gen10 Plus support PCIe 4.0 and faster NVMe?
Yes. Gen10 Plus is PCIe 4.0 throughout — double the per-lane bandwidth of Gen10 — with U.3 Tri-mode NVMe support and the HPE NS204i hardware-mirrored M.2 NVMe boot device.
What is the difference between DL385 Gen10 Plus and Gen10 Plus v2?
The original DL325/DL385 Gen10 Plus support AMD EPYC 7002 “Rome” (and 1st-gen 7001 “Naples”). The Gen10 Plus v2 revision adds support for EPYC 7003 “Milan” — higher IPC and clocks on the same socket. Both use DDR4-3200 and PCIe 4.0.
Can I buy an HPE Gen10 Plus refurbished and configured to spec?
Yes — Servnet supplies re-certified Gen10 Plus servers built to your exact CPU, memory, storage, RAID and networking. Use our refurbished configurator to specify the build and request a competitive UK quote; every unit is tested, NIST-wiped and warranty-backed.
What networking do Gen10 Plus servers use?
Gen10 Plus moves from FlexibleLOM to the OCP 3.0 slot, with Broadcom OCP3 adapters for 1GbE (BCM5719), 10GBASE-T (BCM57416) and 10/25GbE SFP28 (BCM57414), plus standard PCIe 4.0 add-in NICs.
