Galaxy VX is available in six power ratings from 500 kVA to 1500 kVA. Modular parallel architecture allows multiple units to operate as a single logical UPS — N+1 redundancy provides complete failover for the full system, or 2N provides fully isolated power paths for tier 4 data centres.
Galaxy VX achieves 96.8% efficiency in online double-conversion mode. In a 1 MW UPS installation, the difference between 94% and 96.8% efficiency is approximately 28kW of continuous power loss reduction — saving significant costs and improving data centre PUE.
The IGBT-based active rectifier delivers low Total Harmonic Distortion on the input — reducing reactive current draw on generators and building transformers. Critical for data centres with diesel generator backup where high-THD UPS loads cause generator derating.
Galaxy VX supports compact internal string arrangements through to multiple external battery cabinets. VRLA and lithium-ion battery cabinets are available. Battery configuration can be adjusted post-installation as runtime requirements evolve.
