All three ports are Thunderbolt 4 — there is no USB-A, HDMI or lock slot on this chassis. One TB4 cable to a dock delivers power, displays (two 4K, or one 8K) and legacy peripherals; we quote Dell docks and adapters alongside every unit so nobody unboxes it and finds the projector won't connect.

📦 100 W small-form USB-C power adapter in the box — this discrete-graphics build ships with the larger of Dell's two adapters, enabling ExpressCharge Boost (0–35% in 20 minutes). No USB-A or HDMI adapters are included — see add-ons.

Common questions

Is the Dell 14 Premium the same as the XPS 14?

Effectively, yes. Dell retired the XPS name in its 2025 rebrand and this DA14250 platform is the direct successor — Dell's own support pages still title it "XPS 14 (Dell 14 Premium)". The design language carries over intact: CNC aluminium, the zero-lattice keyboard, the capacitive function row and the seamless haptic touchpad.

Can the memory or storage be upgraded later?

Memory, no — the 32 GB of LPDDR5x is soldered, so it is fixed for the machine's whole life (Dell offers up to 64 GB at the point of order). Storage is more flexible: the fitted 1 TB drive is an M.2 2230, and the single M.2 slot also accepts full-length 2280 drives, with 2 TB and 4 TB SED-ready options in Dell's spec. Size the memory for year four, not day one.

There's no USB-A or HDMI — what do you recommend?

This chassis carries three Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSDXC reader and a headset jack, and nothing else. For desk work we quote a Thunderbolt 4 dock with the machine — one cable delivers power, displays and legacy peripherals — and compact USB-C to HDMI or USB-A adapters for meeting rooms. The three TB4 ports support DisplayPort 2.1 and drive two 4K displays or one 8K, up to three external screens in total on this RTX build.

How does it differ from the Dell Pro Premium 14?

They serve different buyers. The Dell Pro Premium 14 is the commercial ultraportable — built around fleet manageability, serviceability and enterprise options. The 14 Premium is the consumer flagship built around performance and display: H-class Core Ultra 7, discrete RTX 4050 graphics and a 500-nit 2K panel — but with soldered memory, no lock slot and a 1-year standard warranty. Fleets should look at the Pro lines; executives, founders and creators are the natural fit here.
