A step up from the 200-series in processing power and Layer 3 capability, the FS-424E is ideal for medium campus buildings where enhanced routing and higher MAC table capacity are needed.
With full Layer 3 routing support (OSPF, BGP, VRRP), the FS-424E can serve as a distribution switch in campus hierarchies — routing between access VLANs without a dedicated router.
