The HPE Nimble Storage AF60 is the high-capacity model in the Nimble all-flash series, designed for enterprise environments that need 2 PB of effective all-flash capacity in a single system — or who anticipate growing into multi-petabyte scale through the scale-out cluster architecture.
With support for two expansion shelves, the AF60 reaches 553 TB of raw capacity — significantly more than the AF40's single-shelf maximum of 184 TB. Applied 5:1 data reduction (inline deduplication and compression) transforms this to approximately 2,037 TB of effective capacity. Four AF80 arrays in a scale-out cluster provide up to 8,148 TB raw and approximately 8.1 PB effective — all managed as a single storage namespace from HPE InfoSight.
Like all Nimble AF series arrays, the AF60 operates with all data services active simultaneously and without configuration. There are no tuning knobs, no tiering policies to set, and no manual deduplication schedules — the storage intelligence is entirely automated, freeing administrators from day-to-day storage management tasks.
The AF60 is NEBS Level 3 certified — meeting the stringent physical and environmental requirements of telecom infrastructure environments.
