Configurations & part numbers
Every UK configuration we supply — quote any part number in your enquiry. Five stocked configurations across two platforms, all with a 16" WUXGA anti-glare panel, backlit UK keyboard, upgradeable DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and Windows 11 Pro. The three Intel builds (21QV) use Core Ultra 200H silicon — two carry the NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell GPU; the two AMD builds (21QR) are Copilot+ PCs on the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350. WQUXGA OLED, RTX PRO 1000 GPU, 4G/5G WWAN, smart-card and larger-battery options configure to order.

Common questions
Intel or AMD — which P16s Gen 4 should we standardise on?
Choose Intel if you need discrete NVIDIA RTX PRO 500 Blackwell graphics for ISV-certified CAD/3D work, or Core Ultra 9 compute — two of our three Intel builds carry the GPU. Choose AMD if Copilot+ on-device AI matters (the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 is a Copilot+ PC with a 50 TOPS NPU) and if you want the lighter 1.71 kg composite chassis. Both share the 16" panel, SO-DIMM memory and ThinkPad security stack, so mixed estates stay manageable.
Is the memory upgradeable?
Yes. Unusually for a 2025-26 thin-and-light, every stocked P16s Gen 4 uses two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots (dual-channel, up to 96 GB) rather than soldered memory — so a 16 GB build can be expanded in-warranty. Intel builds also accept faster DDR5-6400 CSODIMM modules.
Are these Copilot+ PCs?
The AMD builds are — the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 has a 50 TOPS NPU, above Microsoft's 40 TOPS Copilot+ bar. The Intel builds are classed as AI-Ready Workstations: their Intel AI Boost NPU is 13 TOPS, so they rely on the RTX PRO GPU or Arc graphics for acceleration rather than Copilot+ NPU features.
How is the P16s different from the full P16?
The P16s is the thin-and-light 16" workstation — Core Ultra H / Ryzen AI PRO silicon, entry RTX PRO graphics, sub-1.9 kg, no ECC. The full P16 is a heavier desktop-replacement workstation with HX-class CPUs, higher-tier RTX PRO GPUs and ECC memory. For portable engineering the P16s is the right tier; for maximum GPU/CPU the P16.
