Why buy it from Servnet
Common questions
Is this a Copilot+ PC?
No. The Core Ultra 5 135U is an AI PC with an 11 TOPS Intel AI Boost NPU and a Copilot key, but Microsoft's Copilot+ features (Recall, Cocreator, on-device models) require a 40+ TOPS NPU. If Copilot+ is on your roadmap, look at the Lunar Lake / Copilot+ ThinkPads; buy the T14 Gen 5 for serviceability, I/O and value.
Can the memory be upgraded?
Yes. Unusually for a modern 14", memory is socketed: the stocked 16 GB is two 8 GB DDR5-5600 modules across two SO-DIMM slots, upgradeable to 64 GB. We can fit the upgrade before dispatch or supply modules as spares.
T14 Gen 5 or T14 Gen 6 — which should we buy?
The Gen 6 Intel refresh moves to newer Intel Core Ultra silicon and Wi-Fi 7; the Gen 5 here uses Intel Core Ultra Series 1 with Wi-Fi 6E. Both share the SO-DIMM upgradeable-memory design and the full ThinkPad I/O. Choose Gen 5 for value on a proven platform, Gen 6 where the newer platform and Wi-Fi 7 matter — we quote both.
Does it have built-in Ethernet and Windows Hello?
Yes to Ethernet: a full-size RJ-45 Gigabit port is standard (Wake-on-LAN, vPro I219-LM on vPro builds). The stocked SKU ships the 5 MP webcam with a privacy shutter; an IR camera for Windows Hello face sign-in and a power-button fingerprint reader are configurable to order.
