Purity OS includes native Enterprise File — unified block and file on a single platform. Unlike bolt-on file solutions, FlashArray//C's file services inherit all the benefits of the underlying platform: instant snapshots, global deduplication, SafeMode protection, and nondisruptive upgrades. NFS (v3, v4) and SMB are served from the same storage pool as block workloads.

Enterprise File is natively integrated into Purity OS on FlashArray//C, serving NFS and SMB file workloads from the same storage pool as block. This eliminates the complexity and cost of maintaining separate file and block systems. File services on FlashArray//C inherit instant snapshots, global deduplication, SafeMode protection, and nondisruptive upgrades — capabilities that bolt-on file solutions cannot match.
The complete data protection and security suite is included without additional licensing: SafeMode Snapshots (enabled by default), AES-256 always-on encryption, instant immutable snapshots, ransomware remediation, and flexible replication for RPO/RTO requirements.
