The HP ZBook Firefly 14 inch G11 is HP's entry mobile workstation and its most portable ZBook - the machine for engineers, architects and creative professionals who need ISV-certified reliability in a laptop they can actually carry all day. From around 1.76 kg, it puts NVIDIA RTX A500 professional graphics and Intel Core Ultra H silicon into a thin 14-inch chassis without the bulk of a traditional workstation.
What separates a ZBook from a premium consumer or business laptop is certification. The optional NVIDIA RTX A500 Laptop GPU runs NVIDIA's professional (Studio/RTX Enterprise) drivers and is ISV-certified against applications such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe's creative suite - meaning the vendor has validated stability and correctness, which is what matters for billable engineering and design work. Intel Core Ultra 5/7/9 H-series CPUs (with optional vPro) and an AI Boost NPU drive the compute side.
The display options are a key reason to choose the Firefly: an optional 14" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) 120 Hz HP DreamColor panel at 500 nits covers 100% of DCI-P3 for colour-critical work, while WUXGA options include a 1000-nit HP Sure View Reflect integrated privacy screen for working with sensitive material in public. Memory scales to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 across two SODIMM slots, storage to 2 TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe, and connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, Wi-Fi 6E and optional 5G.
For UK organisations the Firefly is the right workstation for mobile CAD/BIM users, field engineers and travelling creatives who value weight and certification over peak GPU power - the Power and Fury models exist for heavier sustained rendering and simulation. It carries HP Wolf Security, TPM 2.0 and Secured-core PC capability, and is supplied through the HP partner channel with VAT recovery, leasing and HP Care Pack support.
