The HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 continues HPE's tradition of delivering the highest performance in the tightest rack footprint. As a 1U, 2-socket platform, it supports 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Sapphire Rapids) with all newer 5th Generation models (Emerald Rapids) supported through firmware — though field upgrade between generations is not supported; a new server board order is required for 5th Gen activation.
Memory density reaches up to 8 TB across 32 DDR5 DIMM slots (16 per processor socket), with speeds of up to 5600 MT/s using 5th Gen processors. The DL360 Gen11 is the first HPE 1U 2-socket platform to support PCIe Gen5 and Intel Software Guard Extensions (SGX) — features previously exclusive to larger 2-socket platforms — bringing premium compute capability to the 1U segment.
Storage configurations are flexible: 8+2 SFF bays with optional Universal Media Bay, 4 LFF bays, or 20 EDSFF E3.S NVMe bays allow workload-specific optimisation. RAID is handled by HPE's Gen11 MR-series controllers (MR416i-p with 8 GB cache, or SR932i-p with 8 GB wide cache and 32 PCIe lanes). Maximum raw storage reaches 307.2 TB with twenty 15.36 TB EDSFF NVMe SSDs.
