The same servers and storage, under a new name

Fujitsu moved its server and storage business into a dedicated Group company, Fsas Technologies, in Japan in 2024 and in Europe in 2025. PRIMERGY and ETERNUS kept their names, and the range has moved on to Xeon 6 and new GPU servers since. Here is what changed and what is current.

Overview

What Fsas Technologies is

Fsas Technologies is the Fujitsu Group company that develops, makes, sells and maintains Fujitsu's PRIMERGY servers and ETERNUS storage[src]. In Europe it trades as “Fsas Technologies – A Fujitsu Company”, a wholly owned subsidiary focused only on the data centre market[src].

Fujitsu announced the move in December 2023: the development, manufacture, sales and maintenance of PRIMERGY, the PRIMEQUEST mission-critical servers and ETERNUS storage went into Fsas Technologies Inc. in Japan from 1 April 2024, while mainframes and UNIX servers stayed with Fujitsu Limited[src]. Europe followed on 1 April 2025, with Fsas saying the same people and contacts carry on and its commitment to resellers and distributors is unchanged[src]. Fsas's UK site puts it simply: Fujitsu's data centre platform business moved to Fsas Technologies[src].

The PRIMERGY range in 2026

Fsas groups PRIMERGY into three families: TX tower servers, RX rack servers and GX GPU servers[src]. The thirteen current models run from a 128 GB single-socket tower to an eight-socket, 32 TB scale-up system.

Warranty, support and lifecycle

Every Fsas datasheet now carries the same support block: a manufacturer warranty period, an onsite warranty type and a service lifecycle of at least 5 years after shipment[src]. What differs is the warranty length.

Fsas Technologies and Fujitsu: common questions

Is Fsas Technologies the same company as Fujitsu?

It is part of it. Fsas Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Fujitsu Group set up to run the data centre hardware business: PRIMERGY servers, PRIMEQUEST and ETERNUS storage. It started in Japan on 1 April 2024 and in Europe on 1 April 2025. Fujitsu Limited kept its mainframe and UNIX server business.

Can you still buy Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers in the UK?

Yes, under the Fsas Technologies name. Fsas runs a UK website with the current PRIMERGY and ETERNUS range, and trade press reported the brand went live in the UK on 1 February 2026. The servers keep the PRIMERGY name; the M8 rack generation became available in Europe from 15 October 2025.

Where do I check the warranty on a Fujitsu server now?

On Fsas’s support portal, support.eu.fsastech.com, under Check your warranty: enter the serial number from the nameplate. Signing in to the free MySupport account shows full warranty details and extension options. Current Fsas datasheets point to this portal; older Fujitsu datasheets point to support.ts.fujitsu.com.

What warranty do new PRIMERGY servers come with?

It depends on the model. Most current rack, GPU and dual-socket tower models list a 3-year onsite manufacturer warranty; the entry models (TX1310 M5, TX1320 M6, TX1330 M6 and RX1330 M6) list 1 year. Support Packs extend or upgrade cover and, per Fsas’s portal, must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

How long are PRIMERGY servers supported?

Fsas datasheets give a service lifecycle of at least 5 years after shipment for each model, with details on its support portal. Hardware support contracts can be bought for fixed terms of 1 to 5 years, or as asset-specific contracts until 12 months before a product’s end of service.

Where are PRIMERGY servers made?

Fsas’s M8 launch release describes the PRIMERGY family as European-envisioned and assembled servers, while its GX launch markets the new GPU servers as “Made in Japan”. Every 2026 datasheet names Fsas Technologies Inc. in Kawasaki, Japan, as the manufacturer; the older TX1310 M5 datasheet (2024) is still Fujitsu-branded.
