From the datasheets of the PRIMERGY tower servers. Several of them say Platinum-rated supplies are for APAC/Japan only, and some standard supplies are Platinum-rated, so we confirm which supply applies in the UK when we quote. Sizes are floor-stand without feet or tilt protection; the TX1330 M6 and TX2550 M7 also come as rack systems. The RX1330 M6 is a 1U rack version of the M6 platform with up to 10 × 2.5-inch drives, a short-depth option and a 1-year warranty[src].

PRIMERGY tower servers: common questions
Which PRIMERGY tower server should a small office buy?
For a handful of users and a few drives, the TX1320 M6: a 98 mm-wide compact tower with Xeon E-2400 or Xeon 6300P processors, up to 128 GB and iRMC remote management. The TX1330 M6 adds room for up to 12 × 3.5-inch or 24 × 2.5-inch drives. The TX2550 M7 is the step up to two sockets, up to 4 TB and up to 32 drives.
What is the difference between the TX1320 M6 and TX1330 M6?
Size and storage. Both take one Xeon E-2400, Xeon 6300P or Pentium processor and up to 128 GB of DDR5. The TX1320 M6 is ultra-compact with up to 8 × 2.5-inch hot-plug drives and low-profile slots; the TX1330 M6 is a larger tower, also available as a rack system, with up to 24 × 2.5-inch drives and full-height slots.
Does the PRIMERGY TX1310 M5 have iRMC?
No. Fsas’s positioning card lists standard management for it, and its datasheet lists no iRMC or dedicated management port, unlike the other models. It also uses DDR4 memory and cold-plug SATA drives. It is the entry point of the range, a step up from a PC.
Why do some PRIMERGY towers have only a 1-year warranty?
That is what the datasheets state. The TX1310 M5, TX1320 M6, TX1330 M6 and the 1U RX1330 M6 list a 1-year onsite manufacturer warranty; the dual-socket TX2550 M7 lists 3 years, though its datasheet still marks the warranty conditions as to be confirmed, so we check them when we quote. Fsas Support Packs extend the cover and must be activated within 30 days of purchase, so add them at the time you buy.
Are PRIMERGY tower servers quiet enough for an office?
The entry models are. Fsas quotes typical operating sound pressure of 21 dB(A) for the TX1320 M6, 23 dB(A) for the TX1310 M5 and 26 dB(A) for the TX1330 M6. The TX2550 M7 is about 30 dB(A) in its basic configurations, but much louder in larger builds.
Is the TX2550 M7 on the latest Intel processors?
No. It takes 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, the generations before the Xeon 6 in the M8 rack servers; its datasheet lists 17 Bronze, Silver and Gold models. It is still a current model with a 3-year warranty, and it is the only dual-socket tower in the range.
