Dell PowerEdge T350 end of life

Each PowerEdge T350 is supported to the date Dell holds against its Service Tag, because Dell does not publish end-of-sale or end-of-service-life dates for PowerEdge servers at model level. Dell has also announced no iDRAC9 end dates for 15G, and this 4.5U tower appears for ESXi 9.0 and 9.1 in Dell's May 2026 ESXi 9.x matrix.

PowerEdge T350 support dates

Every row names its basis. A third-party tracker date is not the vendor’s own, and “not published” means exactly that.

Where the PowerEdge T350 stands today

Start with the Service Tag rather than the model. Dell's warranty and contract lookup returns coverage status and an expiry date for the tag you enter (Dell KB 000132024), and Dell ties each T350's warranty and contract end dates to that tag. Renewal requests go through Dell's extend-warranty form, though renewal is not offered in every country and towers bought through a reseller may need renewing via that reseller. The service chapter of Dell's T350 Technical Guide (Rev A02, November 2022) also names ProSupport Plus for Enterprise and ProSupport for Enterprise, using the older 'Dell EMC' branding; whether either can be bought for a particular tower today depends on its tag.

At model level, Dell's documents give no cut-off. The 2 October 2026 spreadsheet behind Dell's end-of-life product list (KB 000185734) contains no T350 row, and the iDRAC9 support guide (KB 000178016) dates feature development and maintenance only for 14G servers, with nothing for 15G systems such as this one. What Dell has published instead is a T360 Technical Guide that sets the T360 against the T350: evidence that the line has moved on, but not a date for the T350.

Finding the date for your own unit

Dell ties warranty and contract end dates to each server's Service Tag and publishes no model-wide date. Enter the Service Tag at https://www.dell.com/support/contractservices/ to see coverage status and expiration (Dell KB 000132024: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-gb/000132024). Renewals are requested at https://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/email/extend-warranty. They are not available in all countries, and units bought through a reseller may need to be renewed through that reseller.

What still works after Dell support ends

As of 8 October 2026, Dell's UK drivers page for the T350 listed iDRAC 7.30.30.54, rated 'Urgent' and dated 21 August 2026, and BIOS 1.18.1, a Recommended release dated 30 September 2026 that is one package for the R350, R250, T350 and T150. Do not rely on Dell's iDRAC9 versions KB (000178115) for the latest build: last modified on 10 September 2026, it still maps the T350 to 7.20.80.50 from December 2025.

None of those downloads needs a Dell contract. Dell's position is that 'All drivers and firmware for Dell servers are available to download for free on the Dell Support website', and that 'Released iDRAC firmware updates are available regardless of support contract.' The end-of-development and end-of-maintenance dates in Dell's iDRAC9 guide are set for 14G servers only and do not apply to the T350; Dell has published none for 15G. If a T350 develops a hardware fault, Dell's own route is renewing the warranty for Dell-branded hardware repairs or replacement parts, where renewal is offered in your country.

  • iDRAC firmware: 'Released iDRAC firmware updates are available regardless of support contract.' (dell.com)

Vendor support you can still buy

  • Dell warranty renewal (per Service Tag) — Dell KB 000132024: warranties can be renewed to cover Dell-branded hardware repairs or replacement parts, but not in all countries. (dell.com)
  • Dell ProSupport Plus for Enterprise / ProSupport for Enterprise (as named in the guide) — Listed in the service chapter of Dell's T350 Technical Guide (Rev A02, November 2022), which uses the old 'Dell EMC' naming. Whether they can be bought for a given unit today depends on its Service Tag. (i.dell.com)

What a maintenance contract needs to cover on the PowerEdge T350

The T350 can be built two ways on power, and the contract has to know which. One option is a cabled 450 W Bronze supply; the other is two redundant hot-plug units, 600 W Platinum or 700 W Titanium, on AC or 240 V DC mixed mode. Storage is four or eight 3.5-inch hot-swap SAS/SATA HDD or SSD bays, with 2.5-inch drives fitted in hybrid carriers, plus a front-access, hot-plug BOSS-S2 module that should be listed separately from the data drives.

Controllers are the PERC H345, H355 or H755 or an HBA355i internally, the HBA355e externally, and S150 software RAID. Expansion is four PCIe slots of mixed generations, x16 Gen4, x4 Gen4, x4 Gen3 and x1 Gen3, any of which may carry cards that belong on the asset list. A single socket takes either a Xeon E-2300 with up to 8 cores or a Pentium. Memory needs care when sourcing spares: four DDR4 UDIMM slots reach 128 GB at up to 3200 MT/s, but Dell's guide limits speed to 2666 MT/s with a Pentium and to 2933 MT/s when dual-rank and single-rank DIMMs are mixed. The iDRAC9 with Lifecycle Controller (Express, Enterprise or Datacenter) should be in scope as well. A third-party contract would generally cover these parts for diagnosis, replacement and engineer visits, including after Dell's cover ends; what third-party maintenance covers sets out the general scope.

Extend or refresh the PowerEdge T350?

Two Dell statements bear on whether a T350 needs replacing sooner. Dell's December 2025 Windows matrix rates the Essentials and Standard editions of Windows Server 2019 and 2022 as Qualified on the T350 but gives it no Windows Server 2025 entry, while the T360, the next model in the same line, is listed for Windows Server 2025. The matrix's Secured-core note is just as direct: support begins with 15G, yet it is 'Not supported for Intel Rocket Lake CPU based servers (R350, R250, T350 & T150)'. Where Windows Server 2025 is mandatory, the T360 is the model to assess, bearing in mind that it pairs Xeon E-2400 or Xeon 6300 processors with four DDR5 UDIMM slots running at up to 4400 MT/s, so T350 memory does not carry over. This page's Dell sources do not give the T360's Secured-core status.

Without those requirements, maintenance is a sound way to keep a T350 running. ESXi 9.0 and 9.1 both appear against the T350 (Xeon E-23xx) in Dell's May 2026 ESXi 9.x matrix (Rev A03), Windows Server 2022 is Qualified, and Dell released iDRAC and BIOS updates for it in August and September 2026. A tower in that position can move onto Dell third-party maintenance when its Dell cover ends, and the maintenance coverage builder is the place to ask for a quote, listing each T350's PSU, drive and controller build.

  • Windows Server: Dell's LTSC support matrix (PDF dated Dec 2025) lists the T350 for Windows Server 2022 Essentials and Standard (Qualified) and Windows Server 2019 Essentials and Standard (Qualified). It has no Windows Server 2025 entry for the T350, whereas its successor, the T360, is listed for Windows Server 2025. (dl.dell.com)
  • Secured-core: Dell's Windows matrix says Secured-core support starts at 15G but is 'Not supported for Intel Rocket Lake CPU based servers (R350, R250, T350 & T150)'. (dl.dell.com)
  • VMware: Dell's ESXi 9.x compatibility matrix (Rev A03, May 2026) lists the T350 (Xeon E-23xx) for ESXi 9.0 and 9.1. (dl.dell.com)
  • iDRAC9: on 8 Oct 2026, Dell's UK drivers page for the T350 offered iDRAC firmware 7.30.30.54 ('Urgent', dated 21 Aug 2026). Dell's iDRAC9 versions KB 000178115 (last modified 10 Sep 2026) still maps the T350 to 7.20.80.50 (December 2025), so that KB lags the download page. (dell.com)
  • BIOS: on 8 Oct 2026, Dell's UK drivers page for the T350 offered the shared 'Dell Server PowerEdge BIOS R350/R250/T350/T150' version 1.18.1 (Recommended, dated 30 Sep 2026). (dell.com)
  • Refresh: the successor T360 uses four DDR5 UDIMM slots (up to 4400 MT/s) and Xeon E-2400 / Xeon 6300 CPUs, so T350 DDR4 memory does not carry over. (delltechnologies.com)

According to The Register's report of 8 October 2021, Dell revealed the T350 the day before, in a range with the T150, R250 and R350; no availability date was given. All four run the same BIOS package, 'Dell Server PowerEdge BIOS R350/R250/T350/T150', and all four are named in the Secured-core exclusion. Dell's T350 Technical Guide compares the T350 with the T340, the older tower being 5U against the T350's 4.5U. A mixed PowerEdge estate is checked tag by tag, including the PowerEdge T630.

Each bar runs from release to the milestone that marks end of support for the model as a whole. Amber bars end on a third-party tracker's date, not the vendor's. A dashed open end means no end date is published — not that support is indefinite. Component and accessory dates (a management controller, a power module) are not treated as the model's.

Questions people ask about the PowerEdge T350

Is the PowerEdge T350 end of life?

Dell has set no model-wide date for it. Support is tracked per tower, against each Service Tag, and the T350 is absent from the 2 October 2026 edition of Dell's end-of-life product list. It also still appears in Dell's May 2026 ESXi 9.x matrix for ESXi 9.0 and 9.1.

How long will Dell support my T350?

Dell does not set a model-wide date, so the answer is per server: enter the Service Tag in Dell's warranty lookup to see coverage status and expiry. Renewals can be requested through Dell's extend-warranty form, though they are not available in every country.

Can the T350 run Windows Server 2025?

No Windows Server 2025 entry appears for the T350 in Dell's December 2025 Windows Server matrix, which lists Windows Server 2019 and 2022 Essentials and Standard as Qualified. The T360, the next model in the same line, is listed for Windows Server 2025.

Will T350 memory work in a T360?

No. Dell's T360 Technical Guide shows the T360 uses four DDR5 UDIMM slots at up to 4400 MT/s, while the T350 uses DDR4, so T350 memory does not carry over.

Can I get third-party maintenance for a Dell T350?

Third-party contracts generally cover diagnosis, parts and engineer visits, and they can run on once Dell cover has ended. Because the T350 comes with either a cabled 450 W Bronze supply or two redundant hot-plug units, state which is fitted when asking for a quote, along with drive count and controller. Refurbished Dell PowerEdge servers are an alternative if you are weighing replacement.
