About the Lenovo ThinkEdge SE100
The Lenovo ThinkEdge SE100 is a purpose-built edge AI server engineered for the toughest deployment sites — around one-third the width of a conventional server and shorter than a shoebox at just 2.1 litres. Powered by a single soldered Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor of up to 16 cores paired with up to 64 GB of TruDDR5 memory and up to 7.68 TB of M.2 NVMe storage, it brings genuine inference-grade compute right to the point where data is created. A single PCIe 4.0 slot accepts a 75 W low-profile GPU (NVIDIA RTX A1000 8 GB or RTX 2000E Ada 16 GB), turning this palm-sized chassis into a capable platform for machine learning, video analytics and smart surveillance in retail and manufacturing.
Ruggedised for 5–45 °C operation with dust and vibration tolerance, the SE100 mounts to a desk, VESA wall/ceiling bracket or rack (1U2N/1U3N enclosures) and runs on a compact external USB-C PD adapter that can be made redundant. Enterprise-grade management and security come as standard via XClarity Controller 2 (XCC2), TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot and a Platform Firmware Resiliency hardware Root of Trust, backed by a three-year onsite warranty. Servnet configures, prices and supplies the ThinkEdge SE100 in the UK, with every specification here verified against the Lenovo Press product guide.
Lenovo ThinkEdge SE100 — FAQs
What processor does the ThinkEdge SE100 use and can it be upgraded?
It uses a single Intel Core Ultra Series 2 (Arrow Lake) processor of up to 16 cores at up to 2.0 GHz base and 28 W TDP. The CPU is soldered to the system board, so it is not field-upgradable — choose the right SKU at order time.
Can the SE100 run a GPU for edge AI inference?
Yes. Its single PCIe 4.0 x16 (x8-lane) HH/HL slot in the expansion kit accepts one low-profile GPU up to 75 W — either the NVIDIA RTX A1000 8 GB or the NVIDIA RTX 2000E Ada 16 GB — for machine learning, video analytics and smart surveillance workloads.
How is the SE100 powered and can it be made redundant?
It runs from an external USB Type-C PD adapter — 140 W or 300 W depending on configuration — and supports 1+1 redundant power when connected to two external adapters of the same wattage.
