| End of Support (tracker) | 31 October 2029 | Third-party trackerFrom a third-party tracker (eosl.date, 'ProLiant DL325 Gen10' row, 'End of Support' column), not from HPE. The same value appears on 13 ProLiant Gen10 rows. The tracker also gives a release date of 'Jul. 01, 2017', which conflicts with HPE's first QuickSpecs (2 Jul 2018), so treat its dates with caution. Park Place has no DL325 Gen10 page: its /proliant-dl325-g10/ URL redirects (301) to a page for the DL325 G10 Plus nodes for Qumulo, a different product. | eosl.date: HPE ProLiant End of Life (EOL) Dates and End of Service Life (EOSL) Dates |
Where the ProLiant DL325 Gen10 stands today
Several HPE documents carry the DL325 name, and the Product Change Notifications among them cover other products. A search of HPE Support Center's index on 8 October 2026 returned PCNs for the DL325 Gen10 Plus V2 (a00146170), the SimpliVity 325 Gen10 appliance (a00117109) and DL325 G10 Plus nodes for Qumulo (a00131743), plus platform-wide software notices, but no EOL notice for the DL325 Gen10 server. For this model, QuickSpecs a00045498enw (last revision V26, 15 November 2021) carries an undated RETIRED banner calling the base products obsolete and no longer available for sale. Check which DL325 generation a server is before relying on any date.
With no model-wide date, support is read unit by unit: sign in to HPE Support Center, open Warranty Check and enter the serial number from the product label, and each service type is returned with start and end dates and a status. The third-party tracker eosl.date shows 31 October 2029 under 'End of Support' for the DL325 Gen10, a value it repeats on 13 ProLiant Gen10 rows, and its release date of 1 July 2017 conflicts with HPE's first QuickSpecs revision of 2 July 2018. Park Place has no DL325 Gen10 page; its DL325 G10 address redirects to a page for the Qumulo nodes, a different product.
HPE publishes no model-wide support end date for the DL325 Gen10; support ends per unit. To find a unit's dates: (1) Open HPE Warranty Check at https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/?card=wc and sign in to the HPE Support Center. (2) Enter the serial number from the product label and click Submit. The results list every service type with its start and end dates and a status: Active (more than 90 days left), Expiring Soon (under 90 days), Expired (ended less than a year ago) or Active in Future. If the product was registered with HPE, warranty expiry is based on the purchase date; otherwise HPE estimates it from the manufacture date. What still works after HPE support ends
Notice a00094704, in its second version of 13 January 2025, counts the 'HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 server' among the affected platforms: Gen10 SPPs from 2019.12.0 onwards and ProLiant Gen10 System ROM/BIOS firmware no longer need entitlement verification, so an HPE Passport account is enough without an active warranty or support agreement, licence terms still applying. The ROM to look for is the A41 package, listed at v3.80_05-28-2026 in the support guide for SPP 2026.07.00.00, whose PDF was created on 5 August 2026; Gen10 Plus models use a separate A43 ROM.
HPE's paperwork is not consistent, though. A validation note from HPE (PDF created 27 February 2017; no date in the text) makes an active warranty or HPE support agreement a condition of SPP downloads, and units out of coverage are sent to HPE sales or a partner for the SPP, BIOS System ROM or CPLD. For hardware cover, we found no current HPE source confirming that post-warranty or extended support can still be bought for the DL325 Gen10, which leaves an independent alternative to HPE's own support as one route; such cover generally provides diagnosis, replacement parts and engineer visits after vendor cover ends.
- HPE notice a00094704 (v2, 13 Jan 2025) says no contract is needed for the Gen10 SPP or System ROM. Entitlement verification is no longer required for Gen10 SPPs (2019.12.0 and later) or ProLiant Gen10 System ROM/BIOS firmware. Both download with an HPE Passport account and no active warranty or support agreement. The notice lists the 'HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 server' among the affected platforms. Licence terms still apply. (support.hpe.com)
- HPE's documents CONTRADICT each other on this point. HPE's 'SPP Warranty/Support Agreement Validation' note (no date in the text; PDF created 27 Feb 2017) says the SPP needs an active warranty or HPE support agreement. It sends out-of-coverage requests for the SPP, BIOS System ROM or CPLD to HPE sales or a partner. It says security firmware, iLO, controller components and drivers need no entitlement. We record both statements without picking between them. (support.hpe.com)
- HPE's Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP 2026.07.00.00 Release Notes (the document says 'Published: August 2026'; HPE Support Center dates it 7 Aug 2026) say both download routes 'require an HPE account to log in'. This page states no warranty or contract requirement. (support.hpe.com)
- HPE's 'Gen10/Gen10 Plus Service Pack for ProLiant 2026.07.00.00 Server Support Guide' (PDF created 5 Aug 2026) lists 'ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 (A41) Servers, v3.80_05-28-2026'. The Gen10 Plus models use a separate A43 ROM. (support.hpe.com)
What a maintenance contract needs to cover on the ProLiant DL325 Gen10
A DL325 Gen10 is a 1U, single-socket machine. HPE's final QuickSpecs lists one AMD EPYC 7002-series processor with 8 to 64 cores, on a system-on-chip design with no chipset. Its 16 DIMM slots run across 8 channels, taking HPE DDR4 SmartMemory RDIMMs or LRDIMMs up to 2.0 TB with 128 GB modules, and memory speed drops to 2666 MT/s with two DIMMs per channel. HPE states that the embedded 4x 1GbE adapter is not equipped on new boards for 7xx2 processors and that the embedded 4x 1GbE LOM is not supported with them, so confirm each system board before sourcing spares.
Storage came in three chassis: 8 SFF SAS/SATA with a +2 SFF SAS/SATA or +2 NVMe option, 8 SFF NVMe with a +2 NVMe or +2 SAS/SATA option, or 4 LFF, with an optional optical drive bay. Power is either an HPE 500 W non-hot-plug FIO supply or HPE Flex Slot hot-plug supplies (500 W Platinum, 800 W Platinum including -48 VDC and 277 VAC/380 VDC input versions, or 1600 W Platinum on 240 V input only), so a contract should state which is fitted, along with the iLO 5 ASIC. List those parts when requesting a quote through the maintenance coverage builder.

Extend or refresh the ProLiant DL325 Gen10?
Windows Server sets a clear limit for the DL325 Gen10. HPE's certification matrix lists it for Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022 only; Windows Server 2025 is not listed, although HPE does list it for the DL325 Gen10 Plus and Gen10 Plus v2. A unit running Windows Server 2022 or earlier, or a VMware release HPE lists for it (ESXi 8.0 to 8.0 U3, ESX 9.0 and 9.1), can reasonably stay in service on maintenance, with the A41 System ROM still in HPE's August 2026 SPP.
On the VMware side, Broadcom KB 318697 lists AMD EPYC 7002 (Rome), the series in HPE's final DL325 Gen10 QuickSpecs, and EPYC 7001 (Naples) in the 'Deprecated' category for ESX/VCF 9.x, which remains a supported state, with 'Discontinued' to follow in a future major release, at which point the installer blocks installation. A server that needs Windows Server 2025 certification from HPE, or must follow VMware into the release that discontinues EPYC 7002, points towards refresh. The next model in the same line, the DL325 Gen10 Plus, is itself off sale, its QuickSpecs (V27, 11 September 2023) retired; refurbished HPE ProLiant servers are another option to weigh against a further maintenance term.
- HPE's Windows Server certification matrix (Current Products) lists the DL325 Gen10 for Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022 only. Windows Server 2025 is NOT listed for this model, although HPE lists WS2025 for the DL325 Gen10 Plus and DL325 Gen10 Plus v2. Read on 2026-10-08. (hpe.com)
- HPE's VMware ESXi support matrix lists the DL325 Gen10 for ESXi 8.0, 8.0 U1, 8.0 U2 and 8.0 U3, and for ESX 9.0 and 9.1. Its installation note links Broadcom KBs 318697 and 428874 but has no AMD EPYC-specific deprecation text. Read on 2026-10-08. (hpe.com)
- Broadcom KB 318697 lists both AMD EPYC 7002 (Rome, the series in HPE's final DL325 Gen10 QuickSpecs) and EPYC 7001 (Naples) as 'Deprecated' in ESX/VCF 9.x and 'Discontinued' in a future major release. Deprecated mode is still supported. Discontinued means the installer blocks installation. (knowledge.broadcom.com)
- DL325 Gen10 units differ by build. The QuickSpecs says the 'Embedded 4x 1GbE Adapter is not equipped on new boards for 7xx2 series processors', and that the embedded 4x 1GbE LOM is not supported with 7xx2 processors. Confirm the system board and networking of each unit when sourcing spares. (support.hpe.com)
- The next DL325 generation is also off sale. HPE PCN a00146170 (v5, 9 Jul 2025; read via HPE Support Center's search index because the page needs sign-in) puts the DL325 Gen10 Plus V2 in the EOL process from 1 Feb 2025, with DISC on 29 Jun 2025. HPE's DL325 Gen10 Plus QuickSpecs (a00073548enw, last revised V27, 11 Sep 2023) is retired. (support.hpe.com)
- Standard warranty is 3 years parts, 3 years labour and 3 years onsite support, with next-business-day response. Warranty end dates vary by serial number. (support.hpe.com)

Related models
In HPE's Gen10 range the DL325 belongs to the AMD EPYC group, and it is easily confused with the next models in its own line: Gen10 Plus models use a separate A43 ROM, the DL325 Gen10 Plus has its own QuickSpecs (now retired), and the Gen10 Plus V2 has an EOL notice with DISC on 29 June 2025. Separate pages cover other Gen10 rack models, the ProLiant DL360 Gen10 among them, and the ProLiant Gen10 family page lists the generation.

Questions people ask about the ProLiant DL325 Gen10
Is the HPE DL325 Gen10 end of life?
The retired QuickSpecs mark its base products obsolete and no longer available for sale, so HPE no longer sells it. Beyond that, HPE has published no dated lifecycle milestone for the DL325 Gen10 itself: no EOL notice for this server was in HPE Support Center's index on 8 October 2026, and HPE has not published an end-of-support date, so support ends per serial number. eosl.date's 31 October 2029 is a third-party tracker's figure.
Does HPE PCN a00146170 apply to the DL325 Gen10?
No. The DL325 server in that HPE notice is the DL325 Gen10 Plus V2, which entered the EOL process on 1 February 2025 with DISC on 29 June 2025. Those dates belong to the Gen10 Plus V2, not to the DL325 Gen10.
Is the DL325 Gen10 certified for Windows Server 2025?
HPE's Windows Server certification matrix lists the DL325 Gen10 for 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022, and does not list Windows Server 2025 for it. HPE does list Windows Server 2025 for the DL325 Gen10 Plus and Gen10 Plus v2.
Is DL325 Gen10 firmware still downloadable without a contract?
HPE notice a00094704 says Gen10 SPPs from 2019.12.0 and ProLiant Gen10 System ROM/BIOS firmware need only an HPE Passport account, and it names the DL325 Gen10; licence terms apply. Against that, an HPE validation note (PDF created 2017) says the SPP requires an active warranty or HPE support agreement, so confirm what your account can reach. The August 2026 SPP lists the A41 ROM, v3.80_05-28-2026, for this server.
Can a DL325 Gen10 go on third-party maintenance?
Quotes can be requested. As a rule, HPE third-party maintenance provides diagnosis, replacement parts and engineers after vendor cover ends. Give the drive chassis, the power supply type and the system board's networking, since new boards for 7xx2 processors are not equipped with the embedded 4x 1GbE adapter.
