Where the ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus stands today
Two HPE documents define where the DL360 Gen10 Plus stands. The Worldwide QuickSpecs carry an undated RETIRED banner stating that the base products are 'obsolete and are no longer available for sale'; their last revision, V44 on 28 July 2025, only updated a survey link. The PCN, titled '(Revision) HPE ProLiant DL345/DL360/DL365/DL380 Gen10 Plus and HPE ProLiant DL325/DL385 Gen10 Plus V2 Servers - End Of Life (EOL) Process Dates', is where HPE puts the End of Sale and End of Support Life dates, and only its title is publicly readable. This page therefore gives no end-of-support date for the model, past or future.
There are two dates to look up. HPE's model-wide EOL milestones are inside PCN a00146170: sign in to HPE Support Center and open document a00146170en_us. The date that governs your own server is its warranty or contract end, which HPE sets per serial number; enter the serial number (and the product number if prompted) at HPE Support Center Warranty Check and read the coverage start and end dates. HPE may ask you to sign in for that too, so one HPE account session can answer both questions.

What still works after HPE support ends
Firmware for the DL360 Gen10 Plus is still current. HPE lists it as a supported platform in SPP 2026.07.00.00, and those August 2026 release notes say both download routes, the SPP Download page and SPP Custom Download, 'require an HPE account to log in', without stating any warranty or contract requirement. HPE's earlier SPP 2022.03.0 release notes had said 'Entitlement verification is no longer required for the Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP versions' and that the production SPP 'can be downloaded using HPE passport account, without the need for active warranty or support agreement', although the same document still carries an older boilerplate line that requires a warranty.
HPE's undated SPP validation note sets out a stricter, older rule: SPP, BIOS System ROM and CPLD downloads need an active warranty or support agreement, while safety and security firmware, iLO, controller components and drivers need no entitlement validation. Treat that note as the fallback position if a download is refused. On the VMware side, HPE's August 2026 VMware Software Recipe (v30.3) says vSphere 9.1, 9.0 and 8.0 Update 3 were tested against SPP 2026.07.00.00.
- HPE's Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP 2022.03.0 release notes say 'Entitlement verification is no longer required for the Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP versions' and 'The Gen10/Gen10 Plus production SPP can be downloaded using HPE passport account, without the need for active warranty or support agreement.' The same document still contains an older boilerplate line that requires a warranty. (downloads.hpe.com)
- HPE's current Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP 2026.07.00.00 release notes (published August 2026) say both download routes, the SPP Download page and SPP Custom Download, 'require an HPE account to log in'. They state no warranty or contract requirement. (support.hpe.com)
- HPE's undated SPP validation note states an older, stricter rule. SPP, BIOS System ROM and CPLD downloads need an active warranty or support agreement. Safety and security firmware, iLO, controller components and drivers need no entitlement validation. Treat this as the fallback position if a download is refused. (support.hpe.com)
What a maintenance contract needs to cover on the ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus
In 1U, the DL360 Gen10 Plus offers several drive layouts. The base cage holds 8 SFF drives, with an optional 2 extra SFF bays offered in three versions (12G x1 SAS/SATA, 24G x4 Tri-Mode U.3 or 16G x4 NVMe U.2); the alternative chassis takes 4 LFF. Because those extra bays differ by interface, a maintenance schedule needs to name which kit is fitted as well as the drives in it. Memory options are broad too: 32 DDR4 slots at 3200 MT/s, up to 8.0 TB with 256 GB LRDIMMs or 2.0 TB with 64 GB RDIMMs, and support for up to 8.0 TB of Intel Persistent Memory 200 Series in 16 x 512 GB modules, so state whether persistent memory is present.
Up to two redundant HPE Flex Slot supplies power the server, chosen from 500W Platinum; 800W at 94% or 96% efficiency, also offered as -48VDC and 227VAC/380VDC versions; 1600W Platinum; and 1800-2200W Titanium, the last two being high line only. Management runs through the HPE iLO 5 ASIC, and the storage controller the unit was built with should be recorded too. Server third-party maintenance usually combines fault diagnosis, replacement parts and engineer call-outs, and for units leaving HPE warranty, an alternative to HPE Tech Care is a place to start comparing options.

Extend or refresh the ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus?
The DL360 Gen10 Plus is a keep-and-maintain decision rather than an urgent replacement. It is a listed platform in SPP 2026.07.00.00, which HPE's August 2026 VMware recipe pairs with vSphere 9.1, 9.0 and 8.0 Update 3 as tested releases, so on HPE's current documents firmware is not a reason to replace it yet. Where a unit's HPE warranty is ending, maintenance cover for the physical parts above is a reasonable way to keep running a server whose platform HPE still supports with firmware.
Two things argue for planning ahead. HPE's EOL process for the model is under way and its dates are visible only after signing in, so read PCN a00146170 before committing to a multi-year term. A like-for-like move to the DL360 Gen11, the next model in the same DL360 line, would also land on a model HPE has already set EOL dates for, under its revised Gen11 PCN. Compare options across the ProLiant Gen10 Plus family before deciding.
- HPE's DL360 Gen10 Plus QuickSpecs are marked RETIRED: the base products are 'obsolete and are no longer available for sale.' (support.hpe.com)
- HPE has issued a revised PCN, 'End Of Life (EOL) Process Dates', covering the DL345/DL360/DL365/DL380 Gen10 Plus and the DL325/DL385 Gen10 Plus v2. Its dates can only be seen by users signed in to HPE Support Center. (support.hpe.com)
- Firmware is still current. The DL360 Gen10 Plus is a listed supported platform in HPE's Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP 2026.07.00.00 (release notes published August 2026). (support.hpe.com)
- VMware: HPE's August 2026 VMware Software Recipe (v30.3) says vSphere 9.1, 9.0 and 8.0 Update 3 were tested against the Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP 2026.07.00.00. (vibsdepot.hpe.com)
- Refresh planning: HPE has also issued a revised PCN for the next generation, '(Revision) HPE ProLiant DL20/ML30/MicroServer/DL320/DL360/DL380/DL380a/RL300/ML350/ML110 Gen11 Servers - End Of Life (EOL) Dates'. A like-for-like move to the DL360 Gen11 would therefore land on a model HPE has already set EOL dates for. (support.hpe.com)

Related models
The DL360 Gen10 Plus is the 1U model in HPE's Gen10 Plus family on 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable. PCN a00146170 names it alongside the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus, the DL345 and DL365 Gen10 Plus and the DL325/DL385 Gen10 Plus V2, so the same signed-in notice applies to all six. Its predecessor in the DL360 line was the ProLiant DL360 Gen10, set out on ProLiant DL360 Gen10 end of life, and the Gen9 model of the same line is covered on ProLiant DL360 Gen9 end of life.

Questions people ask about the ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus
Is the HPE DL360 Gen10 Plus end of life?
HPE has started its end-of-life process for the model: revised PCN a00146170 sets out 'End Of Life (EOL) Process Dates' for the DL360 Gen10 Plus and related Gen10 Plus servers. The QuickSpecs are marked RETIRED, meaning the base products are no longer available for sale. The PCN's dates require an HPE Support Center sign-in, so no public end-of-support date can be given here.
When does HPE end support for the DL360 Gen10 Plus?
HPE puts its End of Sale and End of Support Life dates for the model only inside PCN a00146170, which needs an HPE Support Center sign-in. For your own server, the warranty or contract end date is set per serial number and can be read at HPE Support Center Warranty Check.
Can I still download firmware for the DL360 Gen10 Plus?
It is a listed supported platform in HPE's Gen10/Gen10 Plus SPP 2026.07.00.00, and the August 2026 release notes say the download routes require an HPE account login, with no warranty requirement stated. HPE's older, undated SPP validation note still ties SPP, BIOS System ROM and CPLD downloads to an active warranty or support agreement, so treat that as the fallback if a download is refused.
What came after the DL360 Gen10 Plus?
The next model in the same DL360 line is the ProLiant DL360 Gen11. HPE has already issued a revised PCN setting End Of Life (EOL) dates for a list of Gen11 servers that includes the DL360 Gen11, which is worth knowing before planning a like-for-like move.
Can I get third-party maintenance for a DL360 Gen10 Plus?
A quote can be requested. Third-party maintenance generally provides diagnosis, replacement parts and engineers, and can take over when HPE warranty cover ends. Include the drive cage and any 2 SFF kit, the power supply ratings, whether persistent memory is fitted and the serial number.
