Where the ProLiant ML350 Gen10 stands today
HPE's lifecycle notice for the ML350 Gen10 is PCN a00139065 (version 1.0, 29 April 2024). It records the model as in the end-of-life process from 1 June 2023 and gives new dates for the 'HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server with selected processors': discontinuation (DISC) on 31 May 2024 and obsolescence (OBS) on 31 July 2024. A footnote limits orders after 30 April 2024 to the Xeon 4208, 4210R and 4214R, and the PCN says availability was extended because of customer demand. HPE defines OBS as the last day to purchase a SKU, when it is removed from HPE price lists and from ordering and quoting systems. The retired QuickSpecs (V44, 28 July 2025) now describe the model as obsolete and no longer available for sale.
The indexed text of the PCN contains no support date. HPE keeps those per unit, shown in HPE Support Center Warranty Check: sign in, type the serial number from the product label, submit, and read each service type's coverage dates and status (Active, Expiring Soon within 90 days, Expired, or Active in Future). Expiry is worked out from the purchase date for registered products and estimated from the manufacture date for the rest. The eosl.date figure of 31 October 2029 is that third-party tracker's own, and no Park Place EOSL entry was found for the ML350 Gen10 to compare it with.
Support end dates are per unit. Use HPE Warranty Check at https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/?card=wc: sign in to the HPE Support Center, enter the serial number from the product label and click Submit to see coverage dates and status for each service ('Active', 'Expiring Soon' within 90 days, 'Expired', or 'Active in Future'). HPE bases warranty expiry on the purchase date if the product was registered; otherwise it estimates it from the manufacture date. What still works after HPE support ends
System ROM and SPP downloads remain within reach without a contract. HPE notice a00094704 (version 2, 13 January 2025) removed entitlement verification for Gen10 SPPs from 2019.12.0 onwards and for System ROM firmware, and it names the ML350 Gen10 among the affected platforms; downloads need an HPE Passport account but no active warranty or support agreement. HPE's 2026 service pack still covers the tower: its Gen10 and Gen10 Plus SPP v2026.07.00.00 guide, created on 5 August 2026, lists the ML350 Gen10 (U41) ROM Flash Firmware Package at v3.66_04-01-2026.
The firmware notice does not extend to hardware repair. HPE post-warranty or extended support for the ML350 Gen10 is not confirmed by any current HPE source we have found, so check what HPE will offer for your serial number. What third-party maintenance covers is diagnosis, replacement parts and engineer attendance, on terms that can run beyond a unit's vendor coverage.
- No contract needed for Gen10 BIOS/SPP. HPE notice a00094704 (v2, 13 Jan 2025) removes entitlement verification for Gen10 SPPs (2019.12.0 and later) and System ROM firmware; these download with an HPE Passport account and no active warranty or support agreement. The ML350 Gen10 is on the list of affected platforms. (support.hpe.com)
- HPE's 'Service pack for HPE ProLiant Gen10 and 10 Plus, v2026.07.00.00' support guide (PDF created 5 Aug 2026) lists 'ROM Flash Firmware Package - HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 (U41) Servers, v3.66_04-01-2026'. (support.hpe.com)
What a maintenance contract needs to cover on the ProLiant ML350 Gen10
The ML350 Gen10 is a 4U tower that takes 5U when converted for rack mounting, and its storage grows in stages, which is where a contract needs detail. SFF builds start at 8 hot-plug bays and expand to 24, with an optional 8 SFF NVMe Express Bay on SFF chassis only; LFF builds start at 4 bays, hot-plug or non-hot-plug, and grow to 12. Two Xeon Scalable sockets and 24 DIMM slots (up to 3 TB of LRDIMM or 1.5 TB of RDIMM) sit alongside the iLO 5 management ASIC.
Power supplies come in two families. The 500 W non-hot-plug, non-redundant supply was for pre-configured models only; the alternatives are HPE Flex Slot hot-plug units: 500 W or 800 W Platinum, 800 W Titanium or 1600 W Platinum. For UK and EMEA estates, HPE notes that from 1 March 2020 the 500 W non-hot-plug supply, and the pre-configured model shipped with it, could not be ordered in EMEA because of the EU ErP Lot 9 requirement, and that this supply can later be replaced by Flex Slot redundant power using the ML350 Gen10 RPS enablement kit (874571-B21). Note which supply each tower has when using the maintenance coverage builder.

Extend or refresh the ProLiant ML350 Gen10?
Extending an ML350 Gen10 is most defensible where it runs Windows Server: the tower appears in HPE's certification matrix against Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025. Its firmware path is open through the Gen10 SPP, and Warranty Check shows whether a unit is still inside the standard three-year parts, labour and next-business-day onsite warranty.
VMware hosts deserve a harder look. HPE's VMware matrix lists the ML350 Gen10 for ESXi 8.0 to 8.0 U3 and ESX 9.0/9.1, but Broadcom KB 318697 marks Cascade Lake Xeon Scalable CPUs 'Deprecated' in 9.x and 'Discontinued' in a future major release, a group that covers the Silver 4200 series, including the 4208, 4210R and 4214R that HPE kept on sale longest. Broadcom KB 428874 (updated 18 September 2026) holds first-generation Skylake-SP to Deprecated Mode in VCF 9.x with no extension beyond it. Check which generation each tower carries: HPE's final QuickSpecs lists only second-generation models, and field upgrades from first to second generation are not supported. The next ML350 in HPE's line is the Gen11, for which PCN a00143611 schedules EOL-A on 1 November 2027 and DISC on 30 April 2028.

Questions people ask about the ProLiant ML350 Gen10
Is the ML350 Gen10 end of life?
For sales, yes. HPE's PCN a00139065 put it in the EOL process from 1 June 2023 and, for the server with selected processors, set DISC on 31 May 2024 and OBS, the last day to purchase, on 31 July 2024. Support has no HPE model-wide end date and runs per unit.
When does HPE support end for the ML350 Gen10?
HPE sets it per unit. Enter the serial number in HPE Support Center Warranty Check to see each service's dates and status. A third-party tracker, eosl.date, lists 31 October 2029, but that is not an HPE date.
Can I still download ML350 Gen10 firmware without a support contract?
Yes, for System ROM firmware and Gen10 SPPs. HPE notice a00094704 lists the ML350 Gen10 among platforms whose Gen10 SPPs (2019.12.0 and later) and System ROM firmware download with an HPE Passport account and no warranty or support agreement. HPE's v2026.07.00.00 service pack includes ML350 Gen10 System ROM v3.66_04-01-2026.
What came after the ML350 Gen10?
The next ML350 in HPE's line is the ML350 Gen11. HPE's PCN a00143611 already schedules its end-of-life announcement for 1 November 2027 and DISC for 30 April 2028.
Can I replace the 500 W non-hot-plug power supply in a UK ML350 Gen10?
HPE says the 500 W non-hot-plug supply could not be ordered in EMEA from 1 March 2020 because of EU ErP Lot 9. It notes the supply can later be swapped for Flex Slot redundant power using the ML350 Gen10 RPS enablement kit, 874571-B21.
